Brendan and Mr. Jekyll

There are different people. One person, Brendan, suffers from leukemia, and one person, Mr. Jekyll, separates his self. Both Brendan and Mr. Jekyll have a disease that they don’t want, and they want to receive treatment. Although they make an effort by same purpose, they show a different result.

 They strive to cure for their disease. On the story, Brendan contacted leukemia. Brendan had been disappointed since he contacted leukemia. He couldn’t do anything. He had to forgive his all things such as girlfriend, and basketball team leader. But their family sought information to cure disease. Their family never gave up finding information, so Brendan encouraged for them and he decided to fight with disease. It is hard to cure disease he endured all experiments. Mr. Jekyll also stove to cure his disease. He didn’t contact disease. First, he made a medicine for his father who has mental illness. He guessed that potential mental of human can separate goodness and evil. And then he made a drug, but he couldn’t find a clinical demonstration. Eventually, he did experiments to oneself, and he had another potential mental called Mr. Hyde. The potential mental, Mr. Hyde, was different with Mr. Jekyll, so he struggled to cure disease.

 They undergo hardship, but they have hope through love. And they fell in love. Brendan had met and loved Lark in hospital. They suffered different disease, but Brendan and Lark helped each other. Mr. Jekyll also had fallen in love with Emma who is fiancé and Lucy Harries. It gave them hope and happiness. And they could fight with disease.

 Although they made an effort to cure their disease, they show different result. Brendan overcame his disease, but he lost Lark was girlfriend because she gave bone marrow for him. The Brendan became to fall in despair. On the other hand Mr. Jekyll finished his life for Emma because he couldn’t stand his other potential mental, Mr. Hyde. He worried behavior of Mr. Hyde and think to kill his fiancé, so he leave suicide note before he faced with his death. And then he finished his life. 

 The finish of the stories isn’t happy. Although they have different situation, it teaches me about sacrifice.  

Unit 10

Q : Unit 10 - Play!

 I agree with Unknown author's opinion. She/He said  "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life" I think it tell us that enjoy your works. A work can enjoy like a play.  For example, bloggers  show their information for other people in their blog. The writing and providing information are just hobby and play to them. And then other companies that want to advertise their product support them.  As this case, they don't  work. They just enjoy their works. It is difference in perspective.  However, play also can be changed according to purpose.  I know one story about that. One boy played on the tree every day. Grandfather who saw it didn't want to climbed the tree, so he told a boy "If  you climb the tree every day, I will give you some money.". The boy thought it is easy. After some day, the boy never climbed on the tree because the boy couldn't climb every day. It was boring to him.  Like this story, climbing tree is changed from play to work by grandfather. It indicates that play and work can be changed according to purpose. In conclusion, If you love and enjoy your work, it will come by play.

Mr. Jekll and Mr.Hyde

  Mr.Jekll is a doctor and scientist. His father has a mental disease, so he does experiments to cure his disease. He guesses that potential mental of human can separate goodness and evil. And then he makes a drug for him, but he can't do a clinical demonstration. Eventually, he does experiments to oneself, and he has another potential mental called Mr.Hyde

 The background of the story is London in U.K... Another self makes serial murders. He wants to break away from Mr.Hyde, but he can't. This picture indicates that his feeling.

 If I go to there, I will think about Mr.Hyde. This story is afraid for me. I don't want to meet like Mr.Hyde in there. Even though he has a good intention, result is not good. It spoils his life. I realized that science can make terrible result. Actually, science exists for people, but it can bring misuse. It can make regret to other people.

I am always greatful for meetiog my parents. I am just satisfied liveing with my family. They give me a lot of opportunity.  They have given me happy. I can meet many people and expeirence. Although living is a lot of hardship, I enjoy and love my life. They don't want to me anything, but they grow me why I am just their son. I am always greatful them protected, toke care of me.

Dear Brendan

I have read your story, and I understand your mind. I am afraid that you taken a leukemia. It steals a lot of your things. Losing precious something is difficult. Eventually you overcome a disease. Lark helps you can overcome your disease. Although she was dying, you can have positive mind. I also know your sadness. Your time that is in hospital was really hardship, and she is your hope. You are similar with me. I also like to play basketball. I think it is a good competition. Whatever sports is good. It is glad you can play basketball again. Life is full of hardship and pain, but the tricks are to enjoy the few perfect experience given at the moment. I hope to have it on your own precious time.

Extensive Reading Project #2

I think It was very interesting. starting of story is Brenden toke a leukemia. It is unfair. He is a captain in his basktet ball team.When docter said him disease, he had a shock. His family is in the depths of despair, but Brenden is driven to despair. people around warried him, but he looks good. His family seeked information to traeat his disease. Ann then he went out his basket ball team. It is so sad for him. sometimes, he has negative mind, but he still fight with leukemia. 

I think he will overcome his disease. He has a lot of friends, and family who warrying and waiting him. He will make an effort for they are.

 I study biotechnology in University. I choose this book because I think this is my major. Cellular's story is about Brendan taken a leukemia. From the first few pages, I can see that the book is about Brendan fight against a leukemia. His family find information for him. And then he fight for them. Although he lose his all things, he will overcome his disease.

My Favorite Place

  Seoul is my best city. There are 3 reasons why I like Seoul. First, Seoul is very convenience. Seoul has a lot of subway and bus, so you can go any where in seoul. Also, Seoul is not big, so you can be contact with many other places in seoul. Second, Seoul combine traditional and modern. Seoul is capital city of korea from a long time ago, so many traditional building and modern building are in seoul. It sometimes gives composure to people. It is also pride of korean people. The traditional buildings harmonize with modern buildings. People who live in seoul looks busy because of work, but many people get spare time from traditional. Third, Seoul has a lot of cultures. many people of 1/3 population korean live in seoul, so many cultures are gathering. It helps to understand korea. These 3 reasons are why I like seoul.
